About Me

Origin Story: I've been an avid reader as long as I can remember. Once I'd asked my mother, after she had grounded my sister, if she'd ever take books away from me. The answer was a resounding no.

My first love is Young Adult literature. (Okay, my real first love was Animorphs by AK Applegate) However, as a high school teacher, I'm constantly reading YA books so I can trade and recommend to my students. It's one of my favorite parts about teaching. I run a book club at my school and always let the kids choose what we're reading next.

How I started reading romance: I started where every current 30 something started... with 50 Shades of Grey- sorry for my generalization! After that I picked up Beautiful Disaster and then Thoughtless. It took me awhile to find what I didn't know I was looking for.

It wasn't until I read The Deal, by Elle Kennedy that I knew the romance genera was my new favorite! Elle Kennedy opened my eyes to HEA, stand alones, and series romances. I love seeing characters crop up in other books- eventually getting their own story.

It's been two years since I've found The Deal, and in that time I've read around 80 romance books. The number could be higher, but I get caught up in re-reads. I never want to leave Briar U, or Vermont, or an NFL friend group.

What now: Sometimes, when I can't find the book that's right for me, I start writing my own. But mostly, I'm working on reviews. I wrote my first in November 2018 and I was instantly hooked. I'd love to go back and re-read my favorites for review and pepper in some new works too.
